Yesterday there was a terrible accident on the Toll Road that left 8 people dead, 2 treated & released and 1 in critical condition. 5 of the deceased were Amish from this area. The driver of the pickup which the Amish were in is in the hospital, but chances for survival seem good as of this afternoon. It was a chain reaction crash, very sad days in this community. The weather has been cooler and rainy. We have had approx. 2 3/4" of rain since Tuesday night. I am hoping to get into the garden to plant tommorrow if it is dry enough. I should scoot to get some shuteye so I can face the morning with a smile.
